Solo Jamie xx presentó un nuevo tema a inicios de este año, pero del resto no se supo mucho. Por eso, es una grata sorpresa que la vocalista Romy Madley Croft haya decidido seguir como solista.
Su carta de presentación se titula «Lifetime», un sencillo producido por Fred Again.. y Marta Salogni en Londres durante la cuarentena por la pandemia. Precisamente, la letra habla sobre el deseo de reencontrarnos con nuestros seres queridos, y de «estar totalmente compenetrados en ese momento y celebrarlo», dijo la artista según el portal Pitchfork.
En abril de este año, Romy Madley Croft anunció que ya trabajaba en un proyecto en solitario, y presentó una versión en vivo de una canción llamada «Weightless». sin embargo, no brindó mayores detalles sobre un próximo disco. Por ahora, puedes escuchar su primer single a través de YouTube:
